The Cameraclub Kajaani is a meeting place for professional and hobby photographers who share their knowledge and experience with other members.

Club members have taken pics of the culture, life and landscape of the region of Kainuu for over 50 years.

There are two meetings every month (not in June through August). On every second Wednesday of a month there is a contest on a specific topic called “Picture of the month”, and on every fourth Wednesday experts hold lectures on specific topics. The main idea is to develop the abilities of the photographers.

The cameraclub offers a fully equipped dark-room to produce paper pics, as well as computers, scanners and software for digital processing. Black-and-white courses are offered as well as courses for digital photographers, and courses in lighting.
